帝国叙事作为英国文学传统的线索之一,处于世纪之交的康拉德其笔下的帝国叙事既有英国传统中欧洲中心主义的色彩,又具有自身无法避免的边缘性叙事的矛盾性。本文以其代表《黑暗的心》为本,试图勘察新旧世纪英国文化思潮观照下康拉德多重文化身份的内在矛盾和康拉德所处时代帝国叙事话语的多元生发性。
Empire narrative as one of the clues of British literary tradition, at the turn of the century, Conrad’s imperial narrative has both the traditional Central European centrism and the contradiction of its own unavoidable marginal narrative. This article tries to reconcile the inherent contradictions of Conrad¡¯s multiple cultural identities and the pluralism of Empire¡¯s narrative discourse in the era of Conrad¡¯s thought in the light of British cultural thoughts in the new century and the present.
