“Competitive advantage” is the company's leading position in the industry, and the ability to obtain excess profits. Any company that wants to gain a competitive advantage must be able to create more value for its customers than any other competitor. In short, “competitive advantage” is based on one or more of the three “customer values” that are outstandingly provided. Customers want the goods or services they need better, cheaper and faster.
