“铁单7号”是辽宁省铁岭市农科所于1976年以自选系铁75—55作母本,外引系“H84’’作父本配制成的玉米单交种。 1977—1983年参加所内产比试验,地区多点试验,省区域试验和生产试验;1984—1985年参加东北春玉米中晚熟组区域试验,1980年起铁岭地区大面积试种,种植面积逐年增加到1985年累计推广面积50万亩,1984年获得铁岭市科技成果二等奖。 1980年参加辽宁省中熟组区域试验,在铁岭、昌阁、西丰、清原、新宾、桓仁、本溪等七个点试验,平均亩产670.7公斤,比铁单5号增产14.5％;1981年在上述七个点试验,平均亩产585.8公斤,比吉单101增产35.8％。
