本文主要运用弗洛伊德精神分析理论以及结合其他批评家的研究,集中探讨了英国著名女作家多丽丝·莱辛的《天黑前的夏天》中女主角凯特·布朗的13个关于拯救海豹的梦的象征意义以及凯特的本我、自我与超我,来分析她在追求理想和自由时候的困惑。作者通过大量地描写女主角的梦来引导小说的发展,运用弗洛伊德精神分析理论分析贯穿整篇小说的海豹梦,一方面是在文学中实践和发展弗洛伊德理论;另一方面是以释梦理论来阐释女主角的海豹梦,是对小说理论研究的补充和创新。
In this paper, Freud’s psychoanalytic theory and other studies combined with other critics are used in this article to focus on the 13 best-known examples of the heroine Kate Brown in “The Summer Before Darkness” by the famous British woman writer Doris Lessing. The symbolic significance of the seal’s dream and Kate’s self, self and super ego, to analyze her confusion in pursuit of ideal and freedom. The author guides the development of novels through describing the heroine’s dream in large numbers. The author uses Freud’s psychoanalytic theory to analyze the seal dreams throughout the novel. On the one hand, it implements and develops Freud’s theory in literature. On the other hand Interpretation of the heroine’s seal dream is based on dream interpretation theory, which is a supplement and innovation to the study of novel theory.
