主要从事有色金属冶炼的工艺技术开发、咨询、设计以及新材料的研发。科研实力雄厚,拥有一支由3名教授、6名高工及20余名工程师组成的研发团队,其中硕士以上学历10人,3人入选湖南省121人才第三层次人选。具备地质实验测试(选冶试验)甲级资质、冶金工程咨询甲级资质及冶金设计乙级资质。主要研究方向包括火法冶金、加压湿法冶金、萃取分离、难处理贫细资源综合利用、二次资源综合回收、高纯及超细产品技术研发、有色金属冶金技术经济评价及专项资金申请等。近年来共完成科研项目多项,
