上海溶剂厂1980年在甲醛生产装置中安装了余热锅炉,利用甲醛生产中650℃左右的生成气的热能,产生4表压的蒸汽;又利用余热锅炉出口的210℃左右的生成气,产生70℃左右的热水,供蒸发原料甲醇用。所回收的热能除自用外,尚可外供4表压蒸汽60公斤/吨甲醛。这达到了国际同工艺的先进水平(如英国汉弗来厂外供2表压蒸汽48公斤/吨甲醛)。
