“仪式音乐”(ritualmusic)是民族音乐学、人类学论著中经常使用的一个概念。然而迄今为止,还没有人对这一概念的外延和内涵作出确切的界定。本文从分析“音乐”这个基本概念的艺术属性和文化属性入手,探讨了与“仪式音乐”这一特定概念有关的一些基本理论问题,最后明确界定了这一概念的外延和内涵:仪式音乐是在形式和风格上与特定仪式的环境、情绪、目的相吻合的,可对仪式参与者产生生理和心理效应的音乐。仪式音乐形成于特定的社会及其文化传统,并依存、归属和受制于其社会和文化传统。仪式环境中的各种声音都可能具有“音乐”的属性而成为仪式音乐研究的对象。
Ritual music is a concept commonly used in ethnomusicology and anthropology. However, no one has so far defined the extension and content of this concept. This article begins with the analysis of the artistic and cultural attributes of the basic concept of “music”, explores some basic theoretical issues related to the specific concept of “ritual music”, and finally defines the extension and connotation of the concept: ritual music is In the form and style of the ritual participants with physiological and psychological effects of music, consistent with the specific ritual environment, emotion, purpose. Ritual music is formed in specific societies and their cultural traditions and is dependent on, vested in, and subject to their social and cultural traditions. All kinds of sounds in ceremonial environment may have the attribute of “music” and become the object of ritual music research.
