The project includes the design of 4 cableway stations along the cableway leading to the northern mountains of Innsbruck. During the design process, it is crucial to clearly articulate the overall consistent architectural language while accommodating the specific site conditions at different altitudes. Two contrasting elements “shell ” and “shadow ” generate the space quality of each station. A lightweight organic roof structure floats above the concrete foundation. Artificial terrain is like a relief, all kinds of movement and flow lines carved in. Looking at the flowing body and soft outline of the roof shell, people may think of some natural phenomena, such as glacial movement.
