板栗是我省的重要干果果树,具有果粮兼用的双重用途,是著名的“铁杆粮食作物”。我省寻甸、禄劝、富民、武定等县产的板栗,具有粒大、壳亮、肉细、味香的优点,是国际市场上享有盛誉的出口商品。但由于长期管理粗放,品种单一,土壤硼素不足,造成结蓬少,空蓬多,产量极低,平均株产仅2—3公斤,最高株产也只10余公斤。若要改变现状,须采取以下措施。一、加强栽培管理。我省多数板栗产区,都是采取“只收果,不管树”的放任经营,形成缺株多,树势弱,树形紊乱,通风透光不良,病虫严重,不能发挥结果潜力。因此,应加强常规的土肥水管理、整形修剪和病虫防治,以复壮树势,为提高产量打
