Traditional two-dimensional design refers to two-dimensional map (three views) designers to represent parts or machine production, processing and assembly requirements. During the production process, the producer needs to convert the 2D map (part drawing, assembly drawing) information into part or machine machining and assembly requirements. The engineering design has now reached the stage of full digitalization. At the core of the integration of design and manufacture is the three-dimensional geometric model. The two-dimensional map can not meet the needs of the current situation. Therefore, as a university cultivating future engineering and technical personnel, the engineering graphics curriculum must be reformed, and the traditional two-dimensional teaching model should be transformed into a three-dimensional teaching model. This paper puts forward an exploratory three-dimensional engineering graphics teaching mode, emphasizing the need to strengthen the three-dimensional image thinking ability and modeling ability, and to take into account the two-dimensional projection theory of learning.
