After the Cairo Conference, the Kuomintang government started all kinds of preparatory work for ending the war from all aspects. Whether in the military field such as setting up the Chinese army headquarters, or in political aspects such as countering Wang for their use, regaining the preparations for Taiwan and the Northeast, etc., or diplomatic aspects such as disposing of Japan, supporting the Korean independence movement and determining treatment France and Vietnam policy, have made some progress and achievements. However, on the whole, the preparations for the end of the war by the Kuomintang government are not sufficient. Such inadequacies have had a significant impact on postwar China’s politics and diplomacy. After the Cairo Conference, preparations for the end of the war by the Kuomintang government will help to fully understand the entire process of China’s war of resistance against Japan and help to promote the study of China’s post-war history.
