It holds that literary reading activities are essentially aesthetic reading activities and thus have the dual nature of hermeneutics and aesthetics. The hermeneutic nature of literary interpretation involves the discussion of the relationship between part and whole of the process of reading, the relationship between the subject of reading and the reader, and the relationship between objectivity and historical interpretation. The aesthetic nature of literary interpretation, however, involves the determination of the fundamental difference between aesthetic reading and reading. The difference lies in the fact that aesthetic literary reading comprehends meaning in the form of language and sensibility and intuition while the non-aesthetic reading generally Direct meaning through language.
