“No honor barley wine, no butter tea, nor Hada ...” This is the first six or seventies sing the songs of the earth in China, the most unique of the two Tibetan daily drink introduced to the world. Many people know Tibet from this song and know the people here. To some extent, barley wine and butter tea became synonymous with Tibetan. However, with distant tourists who have a taste of the plateau scenery and the customs of people living here, if they roam in the street without going to the Tibetan home, they will see the bicycle and moto Car full of emissions. Into the inside of a look, full of black whirling people, packed. Some small teahouse houses, the stool placed in front of some people sitting and drink sweet tea. When you see the scene of so many people drinking sweet tea at any time of the day, you may wonder in mind whether this is one of the main drinks of the Tibetan people. Unlike sweet butter tea and highland barley wine, sweet tea belongs to the Tibetans. It is a foreign drink, but the Tibetan people have long accommodated it as their own life and made it an indispensable drink of daily life. It is said that in the past, sweet tea in Tibet is not as widespread as it is now, nor has it become such a popular commercial drink nowadays. It has its depth, development and popularization of the process, here I introduce the history and status quo of sweet tea.
