上海旧市区的危棚简屋,是历史遗留的旧住房中最简陋,也是环境设施条件最差的住房建筑类型。1991年市建委在《关于试行“中心城危房、棚户、简屋改造的实施办法”的报告》中,提到10个旧区上报汇总的危房、棚户、简屋总建筑面积365万m~2,其中危房53万m~2、棚户98万m~2、简屋214万m~2,共居住13.5万户。
The dangerous shanty houses in Shanghai’s old urban areas are the simplest of the old housing estates left over from history, and they are also the types of housing buildings with the worst environmental facilities. In 1991, the municipal construction committee mentioned in the “Report on the Implementation of the “Implementation Measures for the Dangerous Houses, Shed Households, and Simple Houses Reconstruction in the Central City””, referring to a total of 3.65 million m2 of dangerous buildings, shanty households, and simple houses reported in the 10 old districts. Among them, 530,000 m2 of dangerous houses, 980,000 m2 of shanty houses, and 2.14 million m2 of simple houses have a total of 135,000 households.
