家长“陪读”的用意在于敦促孩子按时按质完成作业.遇有疑难之处,可从旁给予辅导。父母也可从中及时掌握孩子的学习动态,主动取得与学校老师的联系、配合。但是由此带来的弊端也是十分明显的。其负效应主要有:首先,家长跟着陪读,孩子容易产生依赖思想。课堂听讲易于思想溜号,注意力难于集中,反正回家父母会再讲一遍;题目不会做,反正有父母帮忙;作业完了,也无需检查,反正有父母把关。无疑,这些都不利于孩子非智力因素、心理品质、学习习惯、学习能力等方面的培养和发展。
