Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica are all countries that travel around the country. Since the war, especially since they formed the Central American Common Market in the early 1960s, the national economy has enjoyed rapid development. According to statistics, the average annual growth rates of gross domestic product of these five countries were 5.7% in 1960-1970 and 4.4% in 1970-1980. The growth rates of per capita GDP in these two periods were 2.5% and 1.3%. In the meantime, their average annual growth rate of industrial output was higher than the average annual growth rate of GDP: 8.5% from 1960 to 1970 (still higher than the entire Latin American region
