中美家庭教育因为中美两国的哲学传统的区别而有很大差异。美国家庭教育注重孩子独立个性,开拓进取精神的培养,希望孩子成长为具有很强社会适应能力的人;而中国家长更注重望子成龙,在培养过程中没有能够将子女看作独立平等的个体,常把自己的意愿强加在孩子身上,束缚了孩子个性的发展,忽略了对孩子行动能力与创新能力的培养。中美两国家庭教育都可以用实用主义来进行概括,但是美国家庭教育的实用主义深植于其以清教主义为基础的美国精神之中;我国目前家教实用主义更多的是体现了改革开放带来的富有中国特色的社会主义初级阶段的特点,既有本土儒家思想的影响,也受到西式教育理念的影响,呈现出多元化的教育模式。

At present, tutoring pragmatism in our country reflects more on reform The characteristics of the primary phase of socialism rich in Chinese characteristics brought by the opening up are influenced not only by indigenous Confucianism but also by the concept of Western education, showing a diversified educational model.
