Introduction This article describes a unique class of radar signals, called four-phase encoding, which is another technique that can be used for pulse compression. This encoded signal was proposed by JW Taylor et. Jr. for use in radar and has been used successfully in the past decade; its performance is in three important areas: the radiation spectrum, the mismatch loss of the receive filter, and the impulse Compression using digital hardware to achieve the distance when the sample loss, than the use of rectangular sub-pulse phase encoding. Table 1 gives typical data. And, as opposed to chirp, matching the receiver outputs with lower range sidelobes can satisfy the CFAR processing; therefore, it is not necessary to sacrifice sensitivity for using side-lobe issues with weighting.
