以往,杭州的蔬菜生产一直存在着4-5月份“晚春淡季”的問題。到那时候,大多数秋冬蔬菜如油冬儿、菠菜、芥菜、白菜、黄芽菜和蘿卜等,都先后抽苔开花;而夏菜因为这时气溫尚低,生長緩慢,尚未上市,这就形成蔬菜供应上的“靑黄不接”現象,供不应求。 1960年,在杭州市委及各級党委的正确領导下,杭州市郊区各公社貫彻执行了省委的“象抓粮食生产一样地抓蔬菜生产”的指示,充分发揮了广大社員群众的积极性和創造性,通过采取一系列的有效措施,使4-5月份蔬菜的月平均供应量达到197,000多担,这就是說,已經接近全年月平均供应量,比1959年同期增長了78%,出現了淡季不淡,旺季更旺的新气象。 現将本市消灭蔬菜淡季的主要經驗介紹如后:
