龙羊峡水电站是黄河上游梯级开发规划中的第一个梯级电站,是以发电为主、兼有下游灌溉、防洪、防凌等任务的综合利用效益工程。电站枢纽布置为混凝土重力拱坝,坝后厂房,岸边溢洪道及穿过坝身的中、深、底孔泄水道等组成。最大坝高为178米,坝顶高程为2610米,最大可能洪水位为2607米,正常挡水位为2600米,相应库容为247亿米~3,电站装机容量为4×32=128万千瓦,年发电量为60.3亿度。泄水建筑物在高程上分四层布置,即堰顶高程为2585.5米的表孔溢洪道、进口底坎高程为2540米的中孔泄水道、进口底坎高程为2505米的深孔泄水道及进口底坎高程为2480米的底孔泄水道。
