通过实验研究了水平和竖直偏振光对掺杂C60向列相液晶二波耦合和自相位调制现象的影响。实验中发现,在水平偏振光照射下两束透射光有较强的能量转移而在竖直偏振光照射时几乎观察不到明显的能量耦合现象。可见,液晶盒中的分子取向与光束的偏振方向有很强的依赖关系。
The effects of horizontal and vertical polarized light on the two-wave coupling and self-phase modulation of doped C60 nematic liquid crystal were experimentally investigated. It is found that there is a strong energy transfer between the two transmitted lights under horizontal polarized light irradiation and almost no obvious energy coupling phenomenon under the vertical polarized light irradiation. It can be seen that the molecular orientation in the liquid crystal cell has a strong dependence on the polarization direction of the light beam.
