语言交际中一个很重要的问题就是防止语用失误。对中国人来说,英语交际是跨文化文际。在跨文化交际中,语用失误比语法错误更糟糕。操英语的本族人对语法错误往往持宽容态度,但对语用失误却很反感,且常认为说话人缺乏礼貌或不友好,所以外语教学必须重视语用能力的培养。尽管小学英语教材中的语言非常简单,但它还是回避不了语用问题。 A very important issue in language communication is to prevent pragmatic failures. For Chinese people, English communication is cross-cultural communication. In intercultural communication, pragmatic failures are even worse than grammatical errors. The natives who speak English tend to be tolerant of grammatical errors but are often averse to pragmatic failures. They often think that the speaker is not polite or unfriendly, so foreign language teaching must emphasize the cultivation of pragmatic competence. Although the language in primary school English textbooks is very simple, it still can not avoid pragmatic issues.
