Objective To explore the significance of assessing the status of neonatal lesions by using the critically ill neonatal case score method. Methods Eighty-two newborn infants were scored 1 to 3 times at different stages of the disease according to the critically ill neonatal score method. According to the scores of different grades, critically ill patients (<70 points) and critically ill patients (70-90 points) (> 90 points) three groups of lesion status, compare different scores, different lesion status and the patient’s condition, multiple organ dysfunction and prognosis. Results As the course of disease progressed, the scoring scores showed an increasing trend (P <0.001), the incidence of critically ill patients showed a downward trend, while that of non-critically ill patients showed an increasing trend (P <0.001). The lower the score, the more severe the disease, the higher the incidence of multiple organ dysfunction and the higher the mortality rate (P <0.001). Conclusion The score of critically ill neonatal cases can accurately and effectively reflect the status of neonatal lesions. The application of this method can improve the quality of treatment of critically ill neonates.
