目前,在TTL系列中,LSTTL已成为主流,这是引起个人计算机畅销和OA机普及的重要因素。另一方面,在CMOS系列中,由于其动作原理上具有低功耗特性,这一优点应用到VTR机和音频产品等方面,形成了与TTL市场不同的独立的市场。近年来,除了要求系统低功耗和小型化外,对多量信息处理还要求高速化,这就对系统中的逻辑元件提出了同样的要求。这种高速的逻辑元件,目前一般由双极型逻辑的TTL构成,关于高速性能LSTTL比LCMOS逻辑IC要优越,但是,在低功耗方面,CMOS逻辑IC要优越多。
