A follow-up survey of immigrant Japanese orphans and Chinese spouses and children living in Hong Kong is conducted to study the mental health status during the third, first, second and third years after emigration, including the mental status of the individual , Family function and family satisfaction and so on. The result shows that at three months after the resettlement, the mental health status of individuals and families is significantly lower. After one year, it starts to improve slightly and gradually recovered after two years. However, three years later, the family’s mental health situation, especially the family Satisfaction, not fully restored to the status quo, indicates that there are still some psychological problems in the family that remain unresolved.
