PVP(Poly|(N|vinyl|2|pyrrolidone))and MontK10 dually supported bimetallic catalyst(PVP|Pd|Sn/MontK10) were prepared in aqueous system, using HCOONa as the hydrogen source in the presence of a small amount of PEG|400. It catalyzed the dehalogenation of aryl halides at refluxing temperature, when the content of Pd is 0.19%, Pd/Sn molar ratio is about 8∶1. Compared with the mono supported metallic or bimetallic catalysts and the dually supported mono metallic catalyst, PVP|Pd|Sn/MontK10 exhibits, obviously, higher catalytic activity and selectivity in dehalogenation and can be easily separated and reused.
