一、研究目的湖北省气候温暖,雨量充沛,江河湖泊众多,为一季中稻主要产区,在中稻收割后,有培育再生稻(秧孙)的习惯。兩季連作稻在本省江汉平原如孝感、沔阳、黃陂、武昌、鄂城等县都有栽培,惟面积有限,全省不过七八十万亩。自中央农业部粮食生产总局发表“关于南方水稻地区單季改双季间作改連作秈稻改粳稻的初步意見”以后,由于党政領导重視和羣众积极推行,單季改双季,秈稻改粳稻在本省有很大的发展。改变耕作栽培制度是一件复杂工作,存在問題必多,我們为了解早晚稻兩季連作是否較一季中稻再加上培育再生稻为有利,并找出兩季稻連作究竟以什么品种配合最为适宜,因此于1955年在本院农場进行本試驗研究,以供水稻生产上的参考。

Since the publication of the “Preliminary Opinions on Improving the Indica Rice to Japonica Rice with Continuous Cropping Indica Rice in the Southern Rice Region” by the Central Bureau of Grain Production Administration of the People’s Republic of China, due to the emphasis placed by the party and government leaders and the active promotion of the masses, Japonica rice has great development in this province. To change the tillage and cultivation system is a complicated task, there are many problems. We know whether the two-season continuous cropping between morning and evening rice is more favorable than the one-season middle-aged rice plus the cultivation of ratooning rice and find out what kind of rice is most suitable Therefore, this experiment was conducted in our hospital farm in 1955 for reference of rice production.
