“有”与“无”的观点本于老子。老子认为,天下万物生于有,有生于无。“无”是产生“有”的本原。《道德经》一开篇就阐述了这个观点:“无,名天地之始;有,名万物之母。”这一观点被正史玄学家王弼所继承,他提出“贵无”论,认为:“天下万物皆以有为生,有之所始,以无为本。”(见《老子注》)但王弼的这一观点又被后来的又一玄学家裴頠所反对。裴頠提出的“崇有”论认为:“济有者皆有也。
