“Made in China”(在中国制造)决定的是国内生产总值(GDP),而“Made by China”(由中国制造)决定中国的国民生产总值(GNP)。
“Made in China” determines the country’s gross domestic product (GDP), while “Made by China” (made in China) determines China’s GNP. In other words, the output of foreign investment (foreign nationals) in China is included in China’s GDP but not China’s GNP. Therefore, the inevitable result of large-scale foreign investment in China is that GNP in China will be significantly smaller than GDP, and the growth rate of GNP will be lower than GDP. The multinational corporations to enter China, get a greater market share and more profits, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. Of course, the output of capital will lead to a decrease in the GDP of the exporting country, but the GNP will not decrease correspondingly. On the contrary, it is likely to increase. Therefore, the GNP of the capital-exporting country is> GDP.
