The speedbrake (Figure 1) is the first carbon fiber composite (CFP) member to be used on West Jet aircraft. According to the plan of the Federal Ministry of Defense, the company developed the prototype speed reducer, carried out ground tests and aerial test flights, gaining experience as the first CFP component in the European aircraft structure to enter batch production.
