怎样进行英语词汇教学

我们知道英语是由语音、词汇和语法这三大部分组成的,而语音和语法又都是通过词汇来体现的。由此可见,学好词汇是学好英语的重要一环。下面我想结合自己的教学实践,就如何搞好中学英语词汇教学谈几点意见。一、教给学生学习词汇的方法教学大纲指出:“词汇教学,不仅要使学生学到规定数量的单词,而且要使学生获得学习词汇的方法。”为了使学生能较为牢固地记住一些单词,教师应教给他们一些有效的方法,培养他们的自学能力。记词要记词根。英语中有不少单词是通过加前缀或后缀构成新词的。我们教unfar,disappear,rebuild,impossible和careful,useless,selfish,active,thinker,darkness,movement等词时,可以把un-,dis-,re-,im-,等前缀和-ful,-less,-ish,-ive,-er,-ness,-ment等后缀的读音规则、构成形式教给学生,提出一些单词让他们进行构词训练。 We know that English is composed of three parts: speech, vocabulary, and grammar.
