作为精神文明的重要组成部分,文学有其独立的性质,不能简单地说什么该写,什么不该写,也不能界定为该这样写而不能那样写。文学创作是一项个体的独立劳动。正因为如此,文学创作才显示出无穷魅力。但是,在整个文艺界较为繁荣的今天,公路文学却相对沉寂了,这种沉寂与轰轰烈烈的公路事业,与广大公路职工不断增长的文化需求极不协调。尽管无数有志之士在公路文学领域进行着长期不懈的探索,但是,就目前所能见到的公路文学作品看,依然不能支撑起公路文学这样一个门户。形式单一,内容空泛,表现手法呆板,没有统一的组织机构,更缺乏旗手作家,公路文学的作家队伍如散兵游勇,大量的是凭热情在写作。
