In order to find out the main source of schistosomiasis in Jiangtan area of Jiangsu Province at this stage, provide the basis for the formulation and implementation of control strategies. In this study, field epidemiological survey methods were used to investigate the status of cattle in four villages along the Yangtze River and two river banks, the infection of residents and the pollution of river banks under the jurisdiction. Results: The prevalence of schistosomiasis in cattle in 6 villages was between 2.68% and 15.25%, with an average of 8.23%. The infection rate among residents was between 0% and 5.37%, with an average of 2.65% ; The infection rate of cattle decreased significantly with the elevation of riverbank (r = 0.9000, P <0.05); the positive rate of fresh bovine dung was 3.05% , And the geometric mean of EPG was 2.9. The infection rate of cattle was closely related to the infection rate of residents (r = 0.9892, P <0.01), EPD of population and herd accounted for 76.71% and 23.29 %, 45.35% of cattle released eggs directly into the river beach. The results show that schistosomiasis prevalence in Jiangsu Province at this stage, the upper reaches of the soft upper reaches of the serious, cattle play a leading role in the prevalence of schistosomiasis. The results suggest that the focus of prevention and treatment of schistosomiasis at the present stage of Jiangsu Province should first be placed on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and chemotherapy and management of cattle should be strengthened so as to prevent the spread of schistosomiasis to the downstream and inland areas of the Yangtze River.
