Virus-like particles (VLPs) represent a high-density display of viral proteins that effectively elicit the body’s immunity, and virus-like particles made of hepatitis B virus outer membrane proteins can induce cellular immune and humoral immune responses in the body. However, studies have shown that hepatitis B virus outer membrane protein VLPs can disrupt the function of dendritic cells.
