三月七日下午由本院和中国土木工程学会广州分会、华南竹材研究委员会联合召开的学术报告会上,土木工程学系蔡益铣副教授作了“薄壳结构理论在砖砌体及竹结构中的应用及建筑试验”的专题报告,会后参观了蔡益铣副教授设计的跨度5公尺的“扁球形砖壳”和跨度4公尺的“双曲球扁形砖壳”的试验,经加压试验,证明它们超过了设计荷重。蔡益铣副教授还采用民间室斗砖的方法,设计了另一座实验建筑,把跨度扩大到12.6公尺,也获成功。蔡益铣副教授这种新的砖壳结构设计,可以用来代替普通钢筋混凝土和木结构的楼面和天面,造价低廉,施工简便,可以节省大量钢筋、水泥和木材。
On the afternoon of March 7, at the academic symposium jointly held by the Institute and the Guangzhou Branch of China Civil Engineering Society and the South China Bamboo Research Committee, Cai Yi-milling, associate professor of civil engineering, made a speech entitled “The Theory of Shell Structure in Brickwork and Bamboo Structure Application and Building Test ”. After the meeting, Prof. Cai Yi-ming visited the“ Flat Spherical Brick Shell ”with a span of 5 meters and the“ Hyperbolic flat brick shell ”with a span of 4 meters. After the pressure test, Prove that they exceeded the design load. Cai Yi milling associate professor also used civil room fighting brick method, designed another experimental building, the span expanded to 12.6 meters, also succeeded. Cai Yi milling associate professor of this new brick structure design, can be used to replace ordinary reinforced concrete and wood structure of the floor and the sky, low cost, easy construction, can save a lot of steel, cement and wood.
