In this paper, 105 cases of diabetic patients with urine N-acetyl-β-D glucosaminidase (NAG), albumin (Alb), β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) and urine sugar were detected, the results showed: 1) Compared with the detection of urinary Alb, urinary NAG has similar sensitivity to the diagnosis of early diabetic nephropathy. In early DN patients, urinary NAG activity is positively correlated with urine Alb excretion, but in clinical DN patients, urine NAG activity had no correlation with urine Alb. (2) No correlation was found between urinary NAG activity and urinary β2-MG excretion in patients with normal or elevated urinary β2-MG levels. (3) 5 ~ 15g and> 15g of three groups of elderly, urinary NAG and 24-hour urinary glucose excretion also had no correlation. This study suggests that: Determination of urinary NAG activity in diabetic patients can be used as a sensitive screening index of early DN, urinary NAG activity and urinary β2-MG and urinary glucose excretion is not directly related.
