Objective To investigate the effect of high density lipoprotein (HDL) on the levels of CD + 4T lymphocytes (CD4) in patients with HIV / AIDS (HIV / AIDS) without HAART, Protein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels. Methods HIV / AIDS patients who did not undergo HAART were enrolled in this study. CD4 counts and fasting blood lipid levels were measured simultaneously. Blood lipid levels of HIV / AIDS patients at different CD4 cell levels were compared. The changes of HDL-C were observed. Results There was a positive correlation between CD4 cell count and HDL-C (P <0.01). The HDL-C of 107 patients with CD4 count> 200 / μL was (1.02 ± 0.29) mmol / Patients with HDL-C (0.84 ± 0.35) mmol / L, ≤ 200 / μL HDL-C patients than> 200 / μL patients was significantly lower (P <0.01). HDL-C was (0.96 ± 0.30) mmol / L for patients with CD4 counts from 200 to 51 / μL, HDL-C was (0.72 ± 0.36) mmol / L for patients with ≤50 / μL, HDL ≤50 / μL C decreased more significantly (P <0.01). Conclusions HIV infection can lead to dyslipidemia. Among HIV / AIDS patients before HAART, HDL-C and apolipoprotein A1 are mainly decreased. With the reduction of CD4 cell count, the level of HDL-C decreases and cardiovascular disease (CVD ) The risk increases.
