This paper studies the stress-strain behavior of a series of two-stage emulsion polymer films. These emulsion polymers were prepared from methyl methacrylate (MMA), 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA) and 2- (2-ethylhexyl) acrylate in the presence of polymethylmethacrylate Hydroxyethyl ester (HEA) polymerization derived. TEM micrographs of the emulsion particles illustrate that the HEA contained in the copolymerization component enhances the interaction between the silicone melt and the emulsion particles and therefore significantly improves the mechanical properties of the film formed from the corresponding emulsion.
