To investigate the relationship between the expression of TGFβ1, TGFβRII and CDK4 and the clinicopathological factors of hepatocellular carcinoma. The expression levels of TGF β1, TGF βRII and CDK4 in 57 primary hepatocellular carcinoma and adjacent non-cancerous tissues were detected and analyzed. The results showed that the positive expression rate of TGF β1 in hepatocellular carcinoma (8.26%) was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues (6.76.7%) (P <0.05) The positive expression rate of CDK4 in hepatocellular carcinoma (36.0%) was significantly lower than that in paracancerous tissues (8.42.1%) (P <0.05) %) And the expression in adjacent tissues (77.119%), there was no significant difference between them (P> 0.05). TGF β1 expression in patients with metastasis (92.31%) was significantly higher than those without metastasis (74.1 9%) (P 0. 05); and TGF β RII in the envelope Infiltration, metastasis, tissue differentiation III, IV staining in patients with lighter and the positive expression rate decreased significantly, were 19. 52%, 19. 23% and 7.14%, significantly lower than the corresponding group of 5.0? 0 %, 49.39% and 6.27% (P <0.01), respectively. The positive expression of CDK4 mainly concentrated in the invasion, metastasis and histological differentiation of III and IV patients (P <0.05). TGF β1 and CDK4 expression was positively correlated (r = 0.5584, P <0.01). The results suggest that the overexpression of TGFβ1 and the decrease of TGFβRII expression may enhance the invasion and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Increased CDK4 may promote tumor cells to escape the growth induced by TGFβ1 and promote the apoptosis.
