Objective To observe the development of Schistosoma japonicum (Schistosoma japonicum) infected by unilateral infection or re-infection of Oncomelania snails. Methods A single snail was inoculated with a single miracidium and kept in a thermostat at 26 ℃. After 60 days, the mice were infected with the larvae (unilateral infection). After 40 days, the mice were dissected and the sex of the cercariae in each snail was identified by sex. The mice and rabbits were inoculated with cercariae and mixed cercaria respectively. After 40 days, host infection and parasites were dissected. Results The mice and rabbits were infected unilaterally and the male or female Schistosoma japonicum were dissected. There are three main types of worms detected in mice or rabbits infected by refolding: males and females, males and females. Few can see that male mates encroach on undeveloped females. Monogamous infected mice, rabbit liver no eggs, and re-infected mice, rabbit liver were found eggs. Uniparental infected males can mature, but the body size is slightly smaller than that of the mature male, which is difficult to differentiate from the mature males. However, the unisexual females can not mature, and the ovaries are not easy to see Or only to see the prototype, the body was obviously small. Conclusion The male and female individuals with unilateral infection have smaller body size than mature and female adults with recurrent infection. The male with unisexual infection can mature but the female can not mature. In the dissection of sentinel rats, even if no detection of liver eggs, still need to check the intestinal mucosal blood monogamous infection of schistosomes.
