Zaidi Smith, a British black immigrant woman writer, has always been concerned with the survival of female immigrants in her works. “White Tooth” is a typical example of Smith’s concern for women immigrants in the third world. The ethnicity, color, birthplace and religious beliefs of ethnic minority immigrants have increased their difficulty in building ethnic identity and national identity in white mainstream society. Studying “White Tooth” from the perspective of postcolonial feminist criticism, exploring the theme of cultural identity reconstruction of minority women immigrants from the third world in the mainstream of western society and revealing Smith’s advocacy of multi-cultural and harmonious society.
