From the beginning of the year till now, the strategic cooperation between BAIC Group and Daimler has always been the focus of the industry and the media. And the key point in this focus is whether the actually controlled share of the foreign partner in the joint venture exceeds 50%. For this issue, Beijing Automotive Group’s top leaders sought my opinion, the Association of Automotive Industry also made a report to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In this regard, my view is: First, large foreign companies have always wanted to break 50 percent share. Many joint ventures in the field of automobile production in China are rare in the world. In this regard, quite a lot of criticisms from all walks of life in China are actually formed by historical developments. At the beginning of reform and opening up, China’s auto industry is facing the main problem is the urgent need for a large number of car products and the lack of
