Zhao Tinglai’s “Jungle Miles” is based on China, which is integrated into the global economy, and uses the third person to describe China in a collision of globalization and localization. The significance of the work lies in the ethical exploration of the cultural conflict caused by the collisions between globalization and localization. The novel author believes that China will jumped from G2 to G1, thus portraying present-day China and portraying the imagined future of China. The message to be conveyed in the novel is that the combination of globalization and localization is the road to a new type of China in the future. The novel touches on personal ethics, national ethics and cultural ethics. From this we can understand how modern contemporary Korean writers view and describe China today.
