现代工业产品的造型设计,日趋简洁明快;直线表现节表、速度感,形成了鲜明的时代风格。与此同时也带来了机械的冷漠感。人们既需要现代化的生活,也希求工业产品具有一种和谐、亲切和喜悦感的人情味。色彩具有情感,它作用于人们的心理,表现出冷暖、轻重、进退等等。工业产品的色彩虽不像绘画色彩那样激荡人心,可它依附于产品形象同样强烈地吸引着人们。在人们明净的生活空间里,放着一台米黄色或乳白色的电冰箱,无论是使用还是陈设都会给人们带来一种优雅、愉快和亲近感。如果换成黑色的电冰箱,气氛很快会改变为冷漠、严肃,使人感到沉闷、压抑,可见色彩不同可以给人们带来不同的感情。
