Lessing is the representative of the Enlightenment in Germany. This article takes Lessington’s comedy “Minna von Bachheim” from the perspective of perceptual discourse in the Enlightenment period. In the play, Minna, through her body demonstration and imitating her fiance, suffered from the pent-up visual and auditory perceptions and guided Telheim to restore her own overall perception and become a complete human being. Dramas Express Germany’s Appeal for Building Perceived Integrity in the Second Half of the 18th Century - People should value their emotions and perceptions as much as rationality. This is not only the callback to the concept of the supremacy of reason in the Enlightenment, but also the important position of the body-sensing discourse in the Enlightenment period. And this pursuit of the overall perceptive ability, as well as the unity of the rational and sensual demands, indicates the enlightenment of the classical era is coming.
