新文化运动以来,儒家文化传统通常被认为与现代市场经济、公民社会格格不入,对区域经济社会发展似乎谈不上什么积极贡献。不过,随着战后儒家文化圈影响之下的东亚发展模式的成功,以及中国大陆30多年来的经济腾飞,彻底扭转了儒家文化传统这一消极、被动的局面。温州模式过去的成功,堪称永嘉之学等儒家文化传统与现代市场经济、公民社会互动的一个绝佳的微观例证。当然,东亚模式、中国模式、温州模式等所遇到的困境,亦无一不彰显出儒家文化传统要想在更高水平上促进我国区域经济社会可持续发展,还必须吐故纳新,不断地进行思想转化、调适与创新。
Since the New Culture Movement, the Confucian cultural tradition has generally been regarded as incompatible with the modern market economy and with civil society. It seems that there is no positive contribution to the development of regional economy and society. However, with the success of the East Asian development model under the influence of the post-war Confucian cultural circle and the economic take-off in mainland China over the past 30 years, the negative and passive status of the Confucian cultural tradition has been completely reversed. The past success of the Wenzhou model is an excellent example of the interaction between the Confucian cultural tradition such as Yongjia and modern market economy and civil society. Of course, the difficulties encountered by the East Asian model, the Chinese model and the Wenzhou model all demonstrate that if the Confucian cultural tradition wants to promote the sustainable development of China’s regional economy and society at a higher level, it must also reconcile its thinking with new ideas Transformation, adaptation and innovation.
