3R(re-amplification,re-shaping,re-timing)再生是高速率光纤通信系统的一个关键技术。为科学评价3R系统的再生能力,对基于色散位移光纤(DSF)中的四波混频(FWM)效应的全光3R系统的性能进行了测试,得到了输入-输出信号Q值的特性曲线,由此可以得到3R再生系统的再生范围(可再生输入信号的最小输入Q值和最大输出Q值)、最大再生能力等信息,从而达到合理地在线路中设置3R再生系统。结果表明,对于此全光3R再生系统,对输入Q值在2.6~5.8的恶化信号具有再生能力,并且在输入信噪比(SNR)为3.2时可以得到最大的SNR改善为1.1。
3R (re-amplification, re-shaping, re-timing) Regeneration is a key technology of high-speed optical fiber communication system. In order to evaluate the reproducibility of 3R system scientifically, the performance of all-optical 3R system based on four-wave mixing (FWM) effect in Dispersion-Shifted Fiber (DSF) was tested and the characteristic curve of Q value of input-output signal was obtained. Therefore, the regeneration range of the 3R regeneration system (the minimum input Q value and the maximum output Q value of the renewable input signal) and the maximum regeneration capability can be obtained, so that the 3R regeneration system can be set reasonably in the line. The results show that for this all-optical 3R regeneration system, it can reproduce the deteriorated signal with input Q value between 2.6 and 5.8, and the maximum SNR can be improved to 1.1 when the input signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is 3.2.
