日本动画有着明显的类型化倾向。为了迎合各类受众的欣赏习惯和审美趣味,日本动画的创作者会针对各年龄段的需求选取不同的题材。其中“少年动画”鲜明的体现了日本的民族韵味与独特夸张的艺术风格。这些动画不同于美国动画所宣扬的“成为民众敬仰的英雄”的价值观,很少表现高大光辉的主角形象,而是将关注的重心放在普通人身上,探究普通人实现梦想的可能性与方式,并一再强调,再普通的人也有长处,体现了极为可贵的民间视角。并通过巧妙自然的情节安排,灌输诸如“全民健身”、“公平竞赛”、“友情与竞争”等具体价值取向的引导意识,构建起了一种迎难而上、超越自己、自强不息、勇敢成长、团结友爱的积极健康的价值观,释了日本动漫中励志主题最感人、最吸引读者的部分,可视作日本动画浓缩的精华,能够表现更深层次的日本文化。深入研究日本少年动画的“英雄”模式,可以为我国动画产业的发展带来一些新的启示。
