“大尾象”作为广东当代艺术重要的组成部分,其发展轨迹与重要节点显然值得研究。引人注目的广东当代艺术得益于全球化之下的某种地方性,“大尾象”无论从人员构成到展览形态到以集体面貌亮相国际艺术舞台,恰好能够体现这种地方性。本文从“大尾象”的生长环境、“大尾象”的第一回展、“大尾象”的90年代、搭上“广东快车”的“大尾象”几个部分来进行整理与研究,以期展现一个相对完整的关于“大尾象”的艺术面貌。
As an important part of contemporary art in Guangdong, “Big Tail Elephant ” obviously deserves research on its development path and important nodes. The striking contemporary art in Guangdong has benefited from some kind of localism under globalization. “Big Tail Elephant” is an example of this endeavor both in terms of composition of staff and appearance of the exhibition and in the collective appearance of the international art scene .
