Peas are often flooded in the UK after the beginning of the year or heavy rain. This paper reports the results of four experiments on the effects of short-term flooding on the fertility and yield of pea. Tests 1 and 2 are carried out in a greenhouse in a plastic tube equipped with irrigation and drainage equipment. The barrel contains 50 cm of sandy loam soil and a topsoil composed of 30% coarse sand, 55% fine sand, 10% sludge and 5% clay. In the barrel was applied a fertilizer equivalent to 23 kg of N fertilizer, 27 kg of P fertilizer and 52 kg of K fertilizer per hectare.
